1992 started with the Frozen Tour in February. They toured Finland with the German band "Alan International".
In March Waltari signed the contract with Roadrunner Records which would release torcha! later the year. In the same month the Aika Tuulee EP - the agreed EP - was released by Stupido Twins. It was seen as a kind of 5th anniversary record.
torcha! really became classic. Many Waltari fans consider it as the best Waltari album ever and metal fans who normally dislike newer Waltari appreciate that album. The style is continuation of the style of Monk Punk but with more metal influences but nevertheless still sounding very funky. It even contains the first death metal song (Death Party).
After the release of torcha! they started touring regularly in Europe and played at two important events: at the Rhein-Kultur-Festival ( engl: Rhine-Culture-Festival) and the Popkomm in Cologne. The gig at Popkomm is regarded by Waltari as their official breakthru gig in Germany.
In September second album torcha! is released in Europe, Australia, Japan and Korea. It becomes Album of the month in German Metal Hammer. Videos to "Vogue" and "Lights On" are released.
Waltari still considered themselves as a bilingual group although on their second album torcha! relaeased by Roadrunner Records they had only one song sung in Finnish (Jukolauta) and one with Finnish influences (Waltari-lapio).
In December they were part of a tour organized by German metal magazine Rock Hard among with four American bands.
